macOS requires two permissions for system-wide dictation. Zero Typing prompts you for both on first launch.
Microphone
Allow microphone access when prompted so Zero Typing can hear you. You can manage it later under System Settings > Privacy and Security > Microphone.
Accessibility
- 1Open System Settings > Privacy and Security > Accessibility.
- 2Find Zero Typing in the list and turn the switch on.
- 3If prompted, enter your password to confirm the change.
Heads up
Without Accessibility permission, Zero Typing cannot insert text into other apps or use its global hotkey. If dictation stops working after an update, re-check this toggle.
